Medication Management

From routine check-ins to ongoing prescription management, we help you decide together whether medication is right for you.

Finding the Right Balance

Psychiatric medications can be powerful tools in managing mental health conditions—when prescribed thoughtfully and monitored carefully. At CPOML, we take a measured, personalized approach to medication management that prioritizes your safety, comfort, and long-term well-being.

Dr. Malik takes the time to understand your complete picture: your symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, and treatment goals. We believe medication decisions should never be rushed, and we work collaboratively with you toward a plan that fits your goals.

What to Expect

  • Comprehensive Initial Evaluation
A thorough assessment of your symptoms, history, and goals before any medication recommendations.
  • Collaborative Decision-Making
We discuss all options, benefits, and potential side effects so you can make informed choices.
  • Careful Monitoring & Adjustment
Regular follow-ups to track your progress, address concerns, and fine-tune your treatment.
  • Coordination with Your Care Team
With your written permission, we communicate with your therapist, primary care physician, and other providers as needed.

Prescribing Controlled Medications

When stimulants, benzodiazepines or other controlled medications are appropriate, we follow federal and Pennsylvania requirements. These include checking the Pennsylvania Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP), regular follow-up visits, and DEA rules for telehealth prescribing. Current federal telemedicine flexibilities run through December 31, 2026, and some prescriptions may require an in-person visit. We discuss safe storage and disposal with every patient. Some ADHD medications remain in short supply; if a prescription can't be filled, we help you find an alternative.
